Power flush before fitting a new boiler
Whether you are fitting a new boiler to an existing or a new system power flushing is advisable. Modern boilers, developed to be effective, compact and fuel efficient are more susceptible to problems caused by debris in the system water than conventional boilers and the majority of manufacturers' warranties become void if you do not power flush immediately before installation.
On new and modified systems power flushing eliminates and neutralises installation debris, and conditions and prepares metal surfaces, preventing future corrosion problems and system damage.
On existing heating systems power flushing removes debris, which is often mobilised by alterations to the system and the increased efficiency of the new boiler, which if left may accumulate in the boiler, making it noisy and reducing its efficiency.
Power flushing, also referred to as jet flushing and hard flushing, involves pumping water at high velocity through the heating system to force out accumulated deposits. The process is made more effective by the addition of powerful cleansing and mobilisation agents and the addition of corrosion inhibitors after flushing protects the system from future rust damage. All Clean PowerFlush uses Fernox chemicals. Once we have carried out the power flush we will do a free system health check, which involves taking a sample from the system and sending it for analysis to confirm work has been carried out effectively.
A system flush by All Clean PowerFlush takes less than a day and we aim to cause as little disturbance as possible.
